• Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing others in a product development or manufacturing environment
• Good working knowledge of the fabrication of metal and plastic parts, inspection, assembly and packaging techniques
• In-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding, tooling, part and assembly design and manufacturing processes
• Good understanding of the economics involved in the design and manufacturing of products in a competitive market
• Experience with process validation
• Minimum 3 years experience using Pro/Engineer is mandatory
• Minimum 5 years experience working with quality concepts, including TS16949, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, etc.
• History of cost reduction efforts and knowledge of product cost estimating
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements as they may apply to new product development, such as SAE, FMVSS and ASTM requirements
